Share the joy of clay in a personalised, hands-on experience designed just for two. Whether it’s a unique date, a special celebration, or simply time to slow down and create together, our private throwing class offers an intimate introduction to the pottery wheel.

Under the gentle guidance of one of our skilled teachers, you’ll each learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, creating your own pieces from start to finish. This is your time to connect, unwind, and enjoy the meditative process of shaping clay.

Your creations will be carefully dried, bisque-fired, and finished with our Scandi-inspired white gloss glaze by our team. They’ll be ready for collection 6-8 weeks after your class.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring clothes that can get dirty, positive energy and ideas!

We will send you our student handbook the class, with all the information that you need to know. We will have aprons available for you to use, or you can purchase a SkandiHus apron here. Please choose “local pickup” if you would like to avoid delivery fees and collect your apron during your class.

HOW TO BOOK

Please purchase based on the number of classes you’d like to book, not the number of attendees, as each class accommodates two people.

• Upon purchase, you’ll receive an e-voucher with a unique code via email.

  A beautifully designed physical voucher will follow in the post to your billing address.

  If you’d like the voucher sent to a different address, email us at officemanager@skandihus.co.uk with your order number. (Physical vouchers can only be posted to UK addresses.)

• To book your private class please email Cellina, our Office Manager, at officemanager@skandihus.co.uk with your order number and which studio you would prefer. She will then arrange the details with you to confirm the booking.

Important to note:

• Gift vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase.

• They are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

REFUND POLICY

Please note that we are not able to offer refunds for Private Class bookings, so be sure to double check your dates before booking. However, we also realise that the unexpected happens, and that a degree of flexibility is appreciated. We therefore allow transfers to other Private Classes up until 14 days prior to the class. Within 14 days of the class, exchanges are not allowed but you can pass your spot on to a friend or family member. Please note that this refund policy is also applicable to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the days before the class. Again, you are welcome to pass on your spot to a friend or family member.

Our refund policy is strict because it enables us to pay our staff a fair wage, and remain accessible as a studio. Each weekend we get 8-10 requests and if we were to accommodate each one, we would be forced to lower our staff wages or increase our prices - both of which we really want to avoid. We hope you understand that this is why there are no exemptions to our refund policies.
