Escape the hustle and slow down with some mindful making in our sunny, Scandinavian-inspired studio in Clapton. This is your chance to unplug, have fun, and bond over clay with your little one in a relaxed, planet-friendly space.

Together, you’ll explore the playful world of tile decorating—dabbling in slip painting, quirky patterns, and even a fancy technique called sgraffito (that’s Italian for “scratchy fun”… or close enough). Our expert teacher will be on hand to help imaginations run wild, whether that’s tiny hands crafting their masterpiece, or grown-ups rediscovering their inner child. 

You’ll each decorate two tiles, which we’ll then fire with love and glaze for a glossy, waterproof finish. They’ll be ready to collect 8 weeks after the class. 

Perfect for ages 5–14 (with a supervising adult in tow). Every maker needs their own spot.

Ethical, mindful, and full of joy - just like pottery should be.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring clothes that can get dirty, positive energy and ideas! You are welcome to bring your own apron, or you can purchase a SkandiHus apron here. Please choose “local pickup” if you would like to avoid delivery fees and collect your apron during your class. You also may want to bring a small towel for drying wet hands post clean up.

REFUND POLICY

We’re a small, ethically run business - which means we pay our lovely team properly and keep our classes as accessible as possible. To make that work, we can’t offer refunds for Taster Classes, so please do a happy little calendar dance before booking to double-check your dates.

That said, life happens! If things go sideways: 

🤍You can swap your booking to another Taster Class up to 14 days before your session.

🤍Inside 14 days? No swaps, but you’re welcome to gift your spot to a mate or family member (spread the clay joy!).  

Why so strict?
Each weekend, we get numerous last-minute change requests. If we said yes to all of them, we’d have to choose between cutting staff wages or hiking prices - and both options would make us really sad. By sticking to this policy, we keep things fair, keep our team happy, and keep our studios thriving.
